Ilario Ferrari is an Italian born jazz pianist and composer who will be presenting his brand new UK jazz trio Album called "Childhood Memories" after a successful debut performance at the Lauderdale House in London. Together with Katie Patterson on drums and Charlie Pyne on double bass they will accompany us in a journey through a series of musical portraits inspired by memories of the composer’s childhood in southern Italy, many of which deeply resonating with the historical moment we are all living in. An incredible balance between fearless jazz improvisations, meditative atmospheres, structured compositions and sounds from the Mediterranean culture, the Ilario Ferrari trio's "Childhood Memories" is a romantic, searching, tender work but swinging when it needs to be.
Together with Katie Patterson on drums and Charlie Pyne on double bass, they will accompany the audience in a journey through a series of musical portraits, inspired by and dedicated to some of the composer’s memories of his childhood spent in a small seaside town in southern Italy. The performance will be enriched by the guest singer Mara Ashton.
